The academy cafe is a modern, casual, kid friendly restaurant with an emphasis on quick service. Located on the main level in the northwest corner of the California Academy of Sciences, the cafe serves a variety of world cuisine, with emphasis on healthy, seasonal and organic ingredients. The cafe redefines museum dining, offering delicious food using sustainable ingredients. From the raw organic sugar in our baked goods, to the sustainably farmed local vegetables, to the organic, fair trade coffee, every effort is made to support local producers and promote environmentally responsible farming. Even our packaging and utensils are compostable and/or recyclable. Our wines are from California vintners who farm organic and biodynamic grapes. For children and adults alike, we offer a variety of fruit based beverages and sodas, all of which contain no corn syrup.
